Honiron's Quality Control procedures meet the requirements of ASME Section VIII, Division 1, and Honiron is certified with both the ASME "U” and "R” stamps. Other design/fabrication codes used are API, National Board, TEMA, US Coast Guard, American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Det Norske Veritas (DNV), Lloyds of London, UL 142 and many other jurisdictions.
Our QA/QC Manager and Inspection department review all jobs and procedures throughout the manufacturing process, and reports all findings directly to the General Manager. Certain aspects of the QC process may include NDE, painting and coating. Honiron works closely with many top rated 3rd Party NDE companies to provide X-Ray, UT, MPI and any other testing requirements. Honiron has its own blasting and painting shop. When required, we work with local painting contractors to apply specialized coatings, both internal and external. Many customers who purchase equipment such as non-pressure vessels also specify ASME code construction in order to take full advantage of the strict quality controls that ASME demands. Maintaining compliance with our QC procedures insures our operations are conducted in a manner that promotes safe work practices, avoids risk to our employees, and therefore optimizes the value created for our customers.
Honiron's staff of registered engineers are experienced in the design, fabrication and installation of nearly all types of vessels and equipment. Additionally, Honiron can build equipment to the design and specification of our customers.
